Custom Dress process 

Step 1: Book Your Appointment

During our virtual appointment, I’ll use your inspirational pictures and my suggestions to create a unique sketch for your dress. Together, we will select colors, fabrics, and beading options like crystals and pearls. I will also guide you on how to take your measurements via Zoom to ensure a perfect fit.

Payment for the Appointment:

• A fee of $60 is required to book your Prom Appointment ($50 for birthday/evening wear, $100 for bridal).

Deposit:

• Your 50% deposit of the total dress price is due at the end of your virtual appointment. A secure payment link will be sent via Zoom, along with a DocuSign contract detailing all timelines and shipping dates.

Step 2: First Fitting

Payment Schedule:
The remaining 50% of your dress’s total price will be due once the dress is ready for shipping, typically within two months after your deposit. At this stage, your dress will be 70% done. This means the dress will be fully constructed with the materials you chose, but any additional hand-beading, such as crystals, pearls, or 3D elements, will be added after the fitting to ensure it fits you perfectly.

Shipping and Virtual Fitting:
Your dress will be shipped in a double-protected garment bag within a secure box. A prepaid return shipping label will be included for your convenience. All shipping is handled by UPS, and a signature will be required upon delivery to ensure the dress arrives safely.

Once you receive the dress, you’ll send an email to schedule a Zoom appointment that week. During this virtual fitting, I will guide you on how the dress should fit and discuss any necessary adjustments. If any major alterations are required, I’ll inform you during the fitting, which may slightly impact the timeline.

After the fitting, you’ll ship the dress back to me using the provided return label, and I’ll take care of the final touches.

Step 3: Final Virtual Fitting

Once your dress is fully finished, we’ll set up a final virtual appointment for you to see it and give your approval. During this session, you’ll view the dress on a mannequin to ensure that everything is just right. A signature will be required upon delivery to confirm that the dress has been safely delivered to you.
Additional Information

Payment Plan:

1. Appointment Fee: $60 (for Prom), $50 (for Birthday/Evening Wear), $100 (for Bridal)
2. Deposit: 50% of the total dress price due at the end of your virtual appointment.
3. Final Payment: The remaining balance is due when the dress is ready to ship, usually within two months of your deposit. Not paying the final balance on time can delay the dress delivery and risk missing your event date. A late fee of $100 may be assessed, depending on the timeline.
4. Payment Methods: Debit, Zelle, Credit Card, Affirm, and AfterPay.

Time Frames:

• Prom Dresses: 2-6 months
• Birthday Dresses: 1-3 months
• Wedding Dresses: 6 months to 2 years in advance

Pricing:

• Prom Dresses: $800-$2,300+ (plus tax; shipping included)
• Birthday Dresses: $300-$1,900+ (plus tax; shipping included)
• Bridal Dresses: $1,500-$5,500+ (plus tax; shipping included)

Taxes: A Florida sales tax of 7.5% will be added to the final price.

1. Inspirational pictures (rough ideas are welcome)
2. Wear a tank top and fitted clothes (or leggings) for accurate measurements.
3. A soft measuring tape (no construction measuring tapes)
4. High heels to measure the final dress length (if applicable)
5. Your 50% deposit

Note: Wearing the proper attire is crucial for taking accurate measurements. If you don’t have the required items, we will need to reschedule the appointment.

Measurements:

I do not accept measurements taken by others to ensure 100% accuracy. I will guide you step-by-step on how to take your measurements during the Zoom appointment.

Getting a Quote:

To find out the total dress price before booking your appointment, you can email your dress inspirations to houseofzayer@gmail.com. All pictures sent will be used as inspiration only, unless it’s a House of Zayer original design. This allows you to have an idea of the total amount you’ll need to pay on the day of your appointment.

Scheduling:

On average, a dress takes about four months to make. However, it’s highly recommended that you plan for your dress to be fully completed and delivered to you at least two months before your event to ensure there is enough time for the process.

Communication:

I communicate via email aside from our three Zoom appointments. I will respond to all emails within 24 hours to ensure smooth and clear communication throughout the entire process.

Refund Policy:

Due to the custom nature of each dress, all orders are non-refundable once the fabrics, style, and fit are selected.
